Gruppo Mediobanca’s projects
To promote our efforts, Gruppo Mediobanca develops and supports numerous projects in Italy and the other countries we operate in, in three areas:

Land and environment
We strive daily to monitor our environmental impact and to implement specific actions to safeguard the environment, as indicated in our Sustainability Policy. Specifically, Compass is involved in reforestation activities. Together with CheBanca! and in collaboration with the Rete Clima association, we have planted 400 trees, with the aim of compensating for the impact deriving from the publication of our branch magazine “Incontro”, in accordance with the indications of the Kyoto protocol. We have also received “silver” reforestation certification for our participation in the project “compra un telefono usato/pianta un albero” (buy a used phone/plant a tree), through which we have helped plant 88,000 trees since 2012. The Group also supports FAI, the National Trust for Italy. -
Culture, research and innovation
Promoting culture, encouraging innovation and investing in research: for us, all this is a way to support the community and the areas we operate in, of which we are an integral part. Our aspiration is to respond, as far as we are able, to emerging needs, by making a commitment to education and research. One of our main projects is Area Studi MBRES, a centre for economic and financial analysis and research, which publishes studies and research mainly for consultation online, free of charge. We are also involved in numerous other projects aimed at promoting culture in the financial and other spheres, with a view to supporting research and developing innovation. -
Social inclusion
As a Goup, we have chosen to focus above all on sport, as a means of bringing people together and promoting values. Our latest project – called INSIEME (together)- is designed to encourage the practice of sport among young people from the more vulnerable areas of society, by involving primary and secondary school pupils from a number of areas on the outskirts of Milan. In 2016, with #Oltre, we partnered the Italian Paralympic Committee (CIP), with the aim of promoting its values.
